Julia Kuzmenko McKim photographed, color-matched, and led retouching for the long-term PDP refresh project that covered most of the lip product imagery on the Pat McGrath Labs’ and its retailers’ websites.
These frames are a fraction of the PDP refresh work my team and I photographed and retouched for Pat McGrath Labs. This is from our first of many shoots that followed.
A high-shine gloss is one of my favorite finishes to work with: rich, wet, and simply delicious. On set, a collapsible reflector in front of the model’s face added dimensionality and volume to the lips. Shot with a Broncolor Siros 800 and a Para 88.
Creative direction for post-production was an absolute polish, a near-absence of skin texture to match the brand’s overall aesthetic, the fantasy-perfection fashion world of the ’80s, a deliberate departure from our usual natural-texture standard, held precisely to the brand’s direction.
